"Fashion is my passion,” says Vaijayanti Baldua, founder and creative force behind VAMA Designs. After a 18-year career in technology, and a MBA in Information Systems & Finance, Vaijayanti made a bold decision — she left the corporate world to pursue her dream of transforming South Asian bridal fashion in the U.S.
Her singular focus is to assist south asian brides and grooms in the US find the wedding outfits of their dreams.
The Story Behind the Seams
Vaijayanti started VAMA Designs in 2012 with the goal of empowering every bride & groom with confidence, beauty, and originality. Her journey was difficult, but at the same time, also extremely fulfilling. She started by doing numerous fashion shows in the early days ( 14 in her first year ), to get the word out. Slowly, but surely, she started building & gaining trust, and built a loyal clientale and a beloved brand.
Today, VAMA Designs is not just a boutique — it’s a bridal destination known for exceptional service, deep cultural understanding, and stunning craftsmanship.
